Time To Hunt (2020) – Story

In the near future, a financial crisis will hit Korea and slums arise. From those areas, a group of young people commit crime to survive. Time to Hunt is a stylish action thriller that serves you with plenty of action and thrills till the final moment. Although the plot is simple and it didn't really need to be this long, the film's colorful visuals, strong performances, suspenseful atmosphere and exhilarating action sequences are more than enough to compensate for that. After checking it out on Netflix just minutes ago, I found myself totally entertained and exhausted at the same time. It felt like an immersive experience and had a lot of Hollywood vibes to it. In simple, despite the plot being stretched a bit due to its attempt to balance the heist and chase plots, it still feels grounded, balanced and entertaining. Strongly recommended for action thriller fans who also appreciate stylish and artistic visuals.

Time To Hunt (2020) – Review

The first scene of 'Time to Hunt' is interesting. The camera walk is unique. When the film starts, in the dark, we can listen to the conversation between Jang-ho' and 'Ki-hoon'. Then, the screen brightens and shows two friends talking. At first, It looks like an objective shot, which is commonly used. However, as soon as the two characters step outside the convenience store, the camera makes a unique move. The camera stops following the two and looks around as if a living person is looking around the world. In other words, this scene appears to be someone's point-of-view shot.
